Kyle Steyn’s second-half try proved the difference
Glasgow Warriors secured a valuable three-point win over La Rochelle, as they got their Champions Cup campaign back on course.
The Scottish team fell to Exeter Chiefs in round two, and needed a victory in France to breathe life into their bid to reach the knockout stages.
Despite trailing at half-time, Glasgow fought their way back into the contest with tries from Niko Matawalu and Kyle Steyn, and the latter’s score proved to be the decider to seal the 27-24 victory.
The sides will meet again next weekend in Scotstoun in the return fixture.
