The president promised to implement both investment packages promoted by his administration.
President Joe Biden said that his administration’s proposed trillion-dollar investment packages in the social sphere and infrastructure upgrades would help restore the American economy, which needs investments in all spheres of life, including working families and environmental protection. Biden said this while speaking in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The president criticized people who doubt the implementation of his plans and pay attention to the differences between Democratic lawmakers, which could jeopardize the priorities of his administration, and admitted that he had to scale down the plans to gain support among all Democrats.
However, Biden’s investment plans – now it is expected that the cost of the social package will be about $ 2 trillion, and the infrastructure package – just over $ 1 trillion – remain an unprecedented initiative to expand social services for millions of Americans, combat climate change and create new infrastructure.
“It was thought that (this bill) was doomed to failure from the moment I introduced it, but I think we will surprise (opponents) because people are beginning to understand what is at stake,” Biden said. These bills will strengthen our competitiveness all over the world.”
