When Apple announced the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro series, it said they offered 2.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12. Various battery drain tests have shown this to be the case. Now, to get a complete picture of how good the new iPhones are, we compared the battery life of the iPhone 13 to the iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE.
All iPhones that Apple currently sells, including the iPhone SE, are tested in the battery drain test conducted by YouTuber Arun Maini. The discharge test simulates real-life use, including social media, camera, YouTube streaming, multiple games, and more.
Below is how long all iPhones lasted in the battery drain test:
iPhone SE (2020) – 3 hours 38 minutes
iPhone 11 – 4 hours 20 minutes
iPhone 12 – 5 hours 54 minutes
iPhone 13 mini – 6 hours 26 minutes
iPhone 13 – 7 hours 45 min
iPhone 13 Pro – 8 hours 17 minutes
iPhone 13 Pro Max – 9 hours 52 minutes
The results are truly impressive and show that the iPhone 13 series delivers significant battery life improvements. The iPhone 13 mini was able to easily outperform the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, which says a lot about Apple’s improved battery life on its latest iPhones. The battery life of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro is also very impressive, with the latter lasting longer despite a smaller battery thanks to the ProMotion’s floating frequency display.
