Reuters indicated that the decision on the introduction of new restrictions on travel to the EU for foreign citizens would be finally made on August 30.
On Friday, the European Union began the procedure for removing the United States from the list of countries whose citizens can enter the territory of the association without additional restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The Reuters news agency reports this with reference to the European diplomats.
One of the diplomats told the agency that Israel, Montenegro, Lebanon, North Macedonia, and unrecognized Kosovo could also be excluded from the list.
As the agency’s sources and two officials added, the decision to introduce new restrictions on travel to the EU for foreign citizens will be finally made on Monday, if none of the EU countries has any objections.
